Healthy Body
This unique Internal method of Wing Chun promotes health through effective release and posture. The spine is crucial for good health, so you will learn how to apply the ideas of Balance and Alignment within the body to create greater mobility and ranges of movement. The far-reaching effects to your daily life can be truly transformative for your health and wellbeing. |
Personal Development
Wing Chun training offers so much more than self-defence. It's a cultivation method that can deeply transform your life mentally & physically. As a path, it can be practiced alongside other cultivation methods such as Meditation, Yoga and Tai Chi. |
Supportive & Enjoyable
At Body Mind Wing Chun we are an informal group who understand the importance of making the training environment comfortable, especially for new members. We want you to feel safe and supported on your Martial Arts journey, so you can learn and develop at your own pace. Most importantly, we want you to enjoy your training! |
Healthy Mind
Internal Wing Chun is a powerful tool for mental training. You will learn how to develop your internal awareness for better mind / body connection, as well as find a deeper sense of the present moment. A calmer and more controlled mind will help you dispel the stresses and strains of daily life, giving you a sense of peace and tranquility, which is something becoming more essential in our busy and hectic lives. |
Legacy The Martial Art of Wing Chun has been passed down through the ages. Our Instructor has been fortunate to study three different lineages from the late Grandmaster Ip Man line. Every student of Ip Man has a different focus on how Wing Chun should be practiced. Therefore, each lineage holds a piece of the larger Wing Chun puzzle. Yip Man left a legacy passed on through his students, such as Chu Shong Tin and his two sons Ip Chun and Ip Ching. Through these teachers and many more besides, Wing Chun's popularity has spread worldwide, becoming one of the most popular Chinese Martial Arts in the world today. |
